I completely agree Amber. I received a comment once on my blog (iwebis.com) from someone who had been blogging for years. He suggested that adding a photo of yourself and placing it at the top of your blog gave people the opportunity to see right away that the blog isn't a spam blog.
Ever since then I have been offering the same photo of myself on all of my blogs. I do feel it gives your readers a personal connection right away.
Personal branding has been something I have been working on as well and have been using the same photo on all of the social sites I am a part of. The difficult part is when you decided you want to change your picture. I recently decided to change my picture and it's a bit of a pain to have to go all over the socialsphere changing my photo.
Thanks for the great post!
