I am leaving this comment so that others visit my blog. :) What you state above is very true...it has worked for me quite the same way...unintentionally. I agree with Ronnica as well. It is a conversation and it is kind of lonely when you put something on your own blog and nobody says anything.

Matts last blog post..Made the Paper

Before I had my blog I was just a lurker on the Internet. Then I started forcing myself to leave comments once I became a blogger. Now I find that I enjoy it and love having my say whether it helps my blog or not.

Jennifers last blog post..Comic-Con: Many fans go for the TV and Movies

Thanks for the feedback Beth and Ronnica! I agree with you Ronnica that blogging is about having meaningful conversations with others...I have some great friends that I have met this way by commenting and conversing about our shared experiences.

You make a good point, and it is a strategy that I have followed. However, my goal is not simply to leave a comment to gain traffic back. I leave comments because blogging is all about the conversation between people.

I've read about this strategy at both Darren Rowse's and Caroline Middlebrook's blogs but I like how you made it more personal in this article.
