What I have noticed from my blog, about the beginning female entrepreneur, is that influence "pools" and much like it is described in the breakthrough work on the power of networking by Marshall Thurmond, there are power nodes. It used to be that to gain influence you had to have a mass market follow you. Now, you can become a powerhouse in a smaller circle but still change the world in significant and awe inspiring ways. One of my favorite all time quotes is by Margaret Mead, a renowned social anthropoligist and breakthrough females herself, who said "Never doubt that a small group of concerned citizens can change the world. Indeed, that is all that ever has." It's not just the reach you have on your audience in terms of number but also how deeply you reach into their souls and move them.
